Wall Street bracing for $60 trillion revaluation in just…

Bonus Content: Arista Networks Beat Guidance by $358 Million. The 2027 Orders Tell the Bigger Story.

A note from our friends at The Oxford Club(ad)

Dear Reader,

$60 trillion.

That’s how much new wealth could pour into U.S. stocks between now and 2029.

It’s a number so huge… it’s hard to imagine.

If you split it up evenly?

Every household in America would get more than $400,000.

It’s enough money to make 60 million people millionaires. That’s more than double the number of millionaires in America today.

But America’s Economist, Dr. Mark Skousen, says – what happens next could be even stranger than that.

Recently, he laid out his thoughts in a new broadcast.

For the time being, you can watch it free, right here.

Good investing,

P.S. The last time Skousen was this excited… it was 2009. That’s when he told anyone who would listen to buy stocks with both fists. Those who listened could have turned every $10,000 into more than $77,000 in the years since. And now, the same signal is triggering once again.

What Just Happened

Arista Networks entered Monday down roughly 20% from its high and dropped another 8.3% on October 30 in a broader AI-sector selloff. The lead-in to Tuesday’s report was cautious. What came out was anything but.

$3.66 billion. That is a 58.5% year-over-year revenue gain, the company’s fastest since its IPO, and it landed about $358 million above Arista’s own guidance of $3.3 billion. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.20 beat the Wall Street consensus of $1.08 by twelve cents. Net income reached about $1.56 billion. Non-GAAP operating margin held at 49.1%. Shares rose in after-hours trading.

Company Profile

Arista builds the Ethernet switches and software that move data between AI accelerators, storage, and servers inside hyperscale data centers. Its EOS operating system differentiates it from Cisco in programmability and cloud-native management. Revenue splits between products ($3.19 billion in Q3) and services (about $468 million), with AI fabrics now the fastest-growing segment inside that product line. The company serves major cloud providers, enterprises, and financial institutions, with more than 100 Etherlink customers as of 2026.

The Numbers

  • Revenue: $3.66 billion, up 58.5% year over year and 20.5% sequentially
  • Non-GAAP EPS: $1.20, up 55.8% from $0.77 a year earlier
  • GAAP EPS: $1.22
  • Gross margin (non-GAAP): 64.0%, down from 65.2% a year ago but up from 63.4% last quarter
  • Operating income (non-GAAP): about $1.80 billion, 49.1% of revenue
  • Q4 guidance: Revenue $3.9 to $4.0 billion, diluted EPS $1.26 to $1.30
  • Full-year 2026 guidance: Raised for the fourth time to approximately $13.3 billion, representing 48% annual growth
  • Initial 2027 outlook: Approximately $18.5 billion, implying 38% to 40% growth

Why the Stock Is Moving

The revenue beat was not marginal. Coming in more than 10% above guidance in a quarter where the stock had already been punished for uncertainty about demand duration is a meaningful reset. But the more consequential signal is in the balance sheet and the forward guide.

Purchase commitments rose to $11.4 billion at quarter-end from $9.7 billion in Q2, and from $6.8 billion three quarters earlier. Management said roughly 80% of those commitments are expected to be utilized within 12 months. Inventory grew to about $3.21 billion from about $2.54 billion. These are not defensive moves. They are the footprint of a company that has already seen the orders and is buying chips to fill them.

The 2027 target of about $18.5 billion in revenue, with AI fabrics expected to roughly double to approximately $7 billion, tells you what management is seeing in customer conversations right now. Campus networking is projected to reach about $2 billion next year, up roughly 60%. These are not aspirational figures issued to appease investors. The purchase commitments underwrite them.

The customers underwriting those commitments are not slowing down. Meta’s pre-committed AI infrastructure spend of up to $200 billion is the kind of hyperscaler conviction that fills Arista’s order book.

Macro Context

Arista’s acceleration sits inside a broader hyperscaler spending surge. Meta, Microsoft, and others continue expanding AI infrastructure, and the transition from InfiniBand toward open Ethernet standards directly benefits Arista’s Etherlink platform. Nvidia’s Spectrum-X competes in this space, and Cisco remains a long-term incumbent, but neither has matched Arista’s pace of AI fabric customer wins. Scale-up Ethernet, the next frontier, is not expected to contribute materially until 2028, with trials beginning next year. That is a gap, but it is a known gap, and the existing scale-out and scale-across segments are absorbing demand faster than the company guided.

Forward Scenarios

Bull: Hyperscaler AI capex holds through 2027, Arista executes on its $11.4 billion supply commitments, and AI fabrics hit $7 billion as guided. Shares reclaim and extend prior highs.

Base: Q4 comes in at the midpoint of guidance near $3.95 billion. Customer concentration remains a risk, gross margin stabilizes in the 63% to 64% range. Stock trades toward analyst consensus around $245.

Bear: One or more major hyperscalers slows AI capex in early 2027, and the $11.4 billion in purchase commitments creates inventory risk if demand disappoints. Shares retest the recent lows.

The bear case hinges on whether hyperscaler budgets hold. The $2.4 trillion in combined AI infrastructure commitments across the four major cloud providers shows which side of that split is generating real returns.

Technical Overlay

ANET was trading near $170 heading into the report, roughly 20% below its prior high. The post-earnings gap higher puts price action back toward the $175 to $185 range that served as consolidation support earlier in 2026. The 200-day moving average and the prior breakdown level near $185 to $190 are the zones to watch. A close above $190 on volume would signal trend recovery. A fade back toward $165 would indicate the relief is not durable.

Bottom Line

The question going into this report was whether AI networking orders were decelerating. The $11.4 billion in purchase commitments, a 2027 revenue target of about $18.5 billion, and a quarter that beat the company’s own guidance by roughly $358 million answer that question directly. Arista is not building inventory and locking up chip supply speculatively. It is building to order. What determines the next move from here is not this quarter. It is whether that 2027 outlook holds as hyperscaler budgets are finalized into year-end.
